Below is the email I send to the client this AM.  Thoughts what can be added or taken away?

Client

Thank you, please let le me know if you have any questions.  Laser is so much better for a predictable cost over ink jet devices.  Points are below

Inkjet printers like Canon Ink ProGraph, HP Plotters (all), and Epson plotters, most maintenance agreements do not include the following

  • Print heads (some can be very costly)
  • Ink, in addition if one color runs out the device will no print. This means you have to stock all of the colors, which represents an added cost
  • Inkjet paper (best quality of prints is on inkjet paper) This means a higher cost if you want the better quality.
  • Waster toner containers, all inkjet printers have a waste ink container that needs to be replacement.

Inkjet printers waste ink (money)

  • Inkjet print heads will clog if they are not used frequently
  • When prints are clogged, users need to initiate print head cleaning (flushing ink through the print head which wastes ink).  https://www.yoyoink.com/articl...inter-ink-expensive/
  • Some print heads need to be purged because the clog is to bad to clean.  A purge sends a huge amount of ink through the heads to remedy the issue (another waste of ink)

Only Laser wide format devices like the Ricoh & KIP (dry toner) wide format devices offer a predictable expense for maintenance, toner, parts and paper.
