Actually they dont use the KO password on this model anymore, if so I could clear it with 7810.
Instead, now they have an administraors lock-out in User Tools. Someone here has set the lockout and doesnt know the password. Hell, I cant even find out who did it! Big surprise.
I'm hoping somebody here has an answer.
As I said, 7810 doesnt appear on the screen when I try to key it in I get a double beep.
If I try "Special SP Mode" I get the same thing. I dont think they use SS Mode on this model either.
At least it is not mentioned in the SM and neither is 7810.
Symptoms are: a user cant log in to the machine because it is asking for an administrators password. I cant get into user tools for the same reason.
I called Ricoh and they insist that 7810 is a valid SP on this model.
I dont think so.

I hope I dont have to clear the memory 'cause that just f's up the counters and other settings.

Thanks for the reply, when I log in as supervisor all the admin priviedges are grayed out.
I have talked to someone else and now I think that the operator had pressed the "windows" authentication" button by mistake when she was setting up user codes and not entered an Admin pw as I prevously thought.
So I should be able to log in with a crossover cable(they never had the nw setup)and undo that part.
