Does anyone remember these models?

How about these copier names:
Yorktown Genie, Van Dyke 4000 (aka 3M 6740), IBM Copier I, Pitney Bowes PBC, Royal RBC, Saxon 301, SCM 200, and of course the old liquid favorite, the Canon NP-L7

How about the 3M VQC III? (I even remember the VQC I) It was a roll-fed treated paper copier.

Roll fed, treated paper WITH THE "BUTTERFLIES" on the back sides!
Times have changed but "black marks on a sheet of paper" is stil our bread and butter, color notwithstanding.

When I sarted in the business, I was trained in repairs. Models I learned was the Minolta 101, Apeco (can not rember the model number), and then the Minolta 501.

Coincidently, the building we are in used to know as the APECO building as this is where the branch was in the 70s. My office was the branch manager office.

Pitney Boise, traded in about 25 of these from the Patent office. Crapola.

You are very entertaining!!! Love those names for the Apeco products.

How about the 3M Sec III or the dual spectrum the used a pink and white sheets. the Xerox 3100 series. How many orange top Xerox's did we see. Or the Xerox 4000 or 4500 series. How about the Xerox 2400 or 7000 series with the curve glass platen.

This discussion reminds me of a situation I had with a new rep several years ago, she'd called a customer and was trying to find the specs on their current copier in BLI. She was unable to locate the model and asked for help.

When I looked at her notes she'd written that the model was a "Bodanker". I asked her about it and she said the customer had told her they wanted a new copier to replace their "Old Bodanker".

Boat-Anchor. We all got a good laugh at that one.

How bout the Sharp SF741, you could make toast in the sucker and it even had a pair of tongs to remove the toast! (haha)

Remington 530 too. Great toaster; copies, not so much.
