Do some Copier OEMs benefit from forced labor?

Report published by the International Cyber Policy Center and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute
- Claims that Chinese government is forcing Uyghurs and members of other Turkic Muslim minorities to work in factories in China, as part of a “re-education” program
- Report names 27 factories in China that are supposedly using these forced laborers to supply 83 globally known brands
- Companies named as benefiting directly or indirectly according to the report include HP, Sharp & Toshiba
o Example cited is Sichuan Mianyang Jingweida Technology Co. Ltd. of China,
which apparently uses forced labor to produce magnetoelectric components such as power and LAN modules, and sells its products to HP, Sharp & Toshiba
