Digi Doc Flow vs NSI

I don't have much knowledge of NSI, but I know DigiDocFlow allows customers to browse their network to find specific folders they want to scan in to. It's extremely easy to use, so I would say DDF.

I don't know much about DigiDocFlow but NSI will do this easily. It is designed to do more processing before delivering though so I'm not sure the ROI would be there unless there is more that is needed to be done.

so,does anyone having either of these running in an account, and is the account happy with either of these solutions?

Got it and thanx however I was hoping for something a little beefier than PPDM, where a user could see all of the folders on the server and then deposit the documents there as searchable .pdf's.

If I understand what you are asking, Yes PPDM can do it but one of the positive attributes of PPDM is the ability to preselect folders that show so that you don't have to weed through folders that are obviously never going to be a candidate for scanned files.

I did the 48 minute bit and picked up a few tips, however I still have one additional question. Can a user scan directly to thier server folders or does the file go to the clients PPDM and then reside in a folder to be later moved to the server. I'm thinking no but I just have to ask, and another question is when scanning to the server, would I need one or two licenses?

We've found that for browsing folders from the MFP to select as scan destinations, DDF is a simpler product, but that's just personal preference. As long as you don't want to do any personalization within PPDM and/or require individual authentication, you only need one license.

I, too, have only feedback regarding DDF. I have at least 6 placements who love it - easy to set-up and use. For the cost, which I cannot relate to the NSI product (Autostore, I assume), DDF has a nice bit of functionality - especially if sold as the basic + features package.
