I have not, but I thougt I would mention that a few years ago a major customer of ours was adding color printing and wanted to give us the business. Unfortunately they insisted on getting HP color printers(8550s I think).

After three months of use, we sat down with them and discussed the purchase. They were very unhappy with the color quality, especially the variablity in the color in a single run. When you ran a 100 page document, the last page would look VERY different from the first page.

We called HP about this and their reply was that it is acceptable for the color to vary by TWENTY PERCENT in a 100 page run. Twenty percent change in color is about the difference between green and blue, so it's a huge difference.

Also, when we looked at the price of their prints, they were paying well over $1.00 per print (50% coverage per page, minimal service costs, supplies at 20% off list). We were able to replace the 3 8550s with 2 6513s and save the customer money every month.

3 months later we placed a 3rd 6513 there.

Sorry it wasn't related to your question, but I got on a roll =).
