Keep in mind that I'm in NJ.  After a bunch of emails today and that's because most calls are going to voice mail or unanswered.  Two of my larger accounts indicated that they have no plans for employees to be back in the office before 2021.   Are others hearing this also?

Same scenario here in the Bay Area where some companies such as Twitter made permanent remote working an option to all employees.  Pinterest paid almost $90 million to break their lease on a building project in SF that wasn't even completed yet.

Most companies in the Silicon Valley were already WFH-savvy before the pandemic so it doesn't come as much of a surprise.  But we've got a long, challenging road ahead of us.

My main concern is how churches will come out on the other side of things.  I recently had a chat with one church admin saying they've shut down until a vaccine is available. The scary part of our conversation was that attendance increased when they moved their services to Zoom.

I've heard that from a few neighbors who work in NYC that the coming into the office dates keep getting pushed back. 2 guys that work downtown told me as of now the return date is June 2021. What the heck?

Heard this from dealers too:

2 of their end users were NYC satellite branch offices, they paid off their copier leases up front & paid off the end of the office space leases (among other things) & told everyone to work from home period from here on. Told the dealers to come pick up the copiers. Both end users were small branch offices of 10-20 people in each. But their Corp home offices in other cities decided they didn't want their NY Metro employees on mass transit & risking exposure to the virus. And of course they were saving money in the long run on closing the offices all together.

if this virus happened 10 years ago before we could work remotely so efficiently, think about how much worse the economy would be than it is now. Imagine that?
