New Products Enhancements Make Scanning More User-Friendly and Efficient

Rockville, MD Contex, the world's leader of wide format scanning and imaging solutions, announces the release of Nextimage 4, a new edition of its wide format scanning software. Nextimage 4 boasts several new features including "instant on" and SnapScan, a Scan-Enhance-Save capability that eliminates the need to rescan after modifications are made. The new edition also features oversized document capture with seamless stitching.

Additionally, the company is introducing new, adjustable stands for its HD, HD Ultra, IQ scanners as well as its MFP and ScanStation solutions. With the launch of Nextimage 4 and the stands, Contex provides users with efficient, well-designed components that enhance the company's scanning solutions. The new products are available immediately through Contex distributors and resellers.

"Contex continues to develop innovative products that improve our users' scanning experience," states Steve Blanken, General Manager, Contex North and South America. "Nextimage 4 is a winning combination of innovation and productivity, offering users superior image quality and unmatched efficiency. Ergonomics also plays an important role with the design of our new stands, which reflect in a more customizable and consolidated workspace."

Faster Scanning at the Click of a Button

Nextimage 4 offers superior imaging capabilities, improved usability, and faster scanning. The new edition enables the oversized document scanning function for Contex's new HD iFLEX A2/C-size flatbed scanner, allowing users to capture documents up to A1/D-size. Step-by-step instructions guide the user through the scanning process while the software automatically and seamlessly stitches the separate scans into a single composite image.

Nextimage 4's "instant on" delivers a remarkably quick start-up time of less than one second, improving significantly upon previous editions. SnapScan, another speedy enhancement, reduces scan time by allowing users to scan, make adjustments, and save images without rescanning.

Intuitive technology enhancements further increase workflow productivity. Built-in email sends scans through Nextimage 4, eliminating the need to open Outlook or another email client. The software's one-touch scan button, a high-speed scanning feature that captures an entire image in four seconds, now allows users to create, assign, and save custom Nextimage scanning settings to any one-touch scan button on a Contex scanner.

Available immediately in either the Nextimage SCAN + ARCHIVE or Nextimage REPRO version, the software is compatible with Contex's current line of wide format scanners as well as many legacy Contex scanners. Visit www.contex.com/nextimage.

Take a Stand

Designed for efficiency, Contex's height-adjustable stands allow users to create a centralized scanning setup tailored to their preferences. The stands come in high or low models and can be adjusted to three set heights for optimized convenience. Both models feature a built-in computer tray and, depending on the scanning solution, either a movable 17-inch touchscreen, which can be placed on the left or right side for the best ergonomics, or a 10.1-inch MFP2GO controller. The low-stand's universal design fits all standalone Contex scanners, as well as the HD ScanStation Repro. Contex's IQ MFP2GO and MFP Repro solutions have new high stands, which now fit over most wide format printers, including Epson SC series printers.
