ATLANTA, Jun 07, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Addressing the complex, high-volume needs of municipalities in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments, as well as document automation, imaging and management, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, will showcase the full lineup of its imageFORMULA digital document scanners and check transports at the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Annual Conference at the Georgia World Congress Center. Canon's exhibit is located in booth #244.

Imaging solutions on display at the show include:

-- imageFORMULA CR-190i Check Transport: The CR-190i provides a high-performance, reliable payment processing platform that delivers Canon's extraordinary image quality in an efficient, countertop design. Ideal for use in back office / branch capture and remittance / lockbox processing applications by municipalities, utilities and other companies that handle large volumes of checks. The CR-190i can scan up to 190 double-sided cpmI, at up to 300 dpi, while simultaneously reading Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) data. It also features three output pockets, for increased output capacity, and Ultrasonic Double-Feed Detection, for more reliable feeding. The CR-190i is scheduled to ship in July.

-- imageFORMULA CR-55 Check Transport: The CR-55 is a convenient, compact solution to decentralize payment processing from the first point of presentment to settlement. Ideal for walk-up payment center capture, it offers high-quality scanning, at speeds of up to 55 cpm,II and is compliant with the Check 21 standard. The CR-55 simultaneously reads MICR data and features a built-in imprinter. It is bundled with the Silver Bullet Ranger Driver as well as Infrared Double Feed Detection and Paper Thickness Adjustment capabilities for reliable paper feeding and image capture.

-- imageFORMULA P-150 "Scan-tini" Personal Document Scanner: The P-150's compact size and ease-of-use allows for document capture beyond the walls of the traditional office environment. The P-150 is ideal for use by "road warriors" and office users for general-purpose distributed document scanning applications, as well as check scanning in remote deposit capture applications. Measuring 11-inches long, 3.7-inches wide, 1.6-inches high and weighing just over two pounds, the Canon P-150 redefines the minimum dimensions of a document scanner with automatic document feeder. The P-150 can scan batches at up to 15 pages-per-minute (ppm) and 30 images-per-minuteIII (ipm), yet still fits easily into a briefcase. For quick use and minimal set-up, the P-150 can use electrical power via a single USB cable connected to a PC, and when first connected, will immediately launch Canon CaptureOnTouch Lite through its "Plug-and-Scan" capability.

-- imageFORMULA DR-6010C Departmental Scanner: With a compact, reliable design, the DR-6010C provides high-speed document scanning in both centralized and decentralized scanning applications. Offering fast, color scanning up to 60 ppm / 120IV ipm, the DR-6010C also features Advanced Text Enhancement technology that allows the device to capture text from scanned documents by removing patterned backgrounds and enhancing light-colored texts.

-- imageFORMULA ScanFront 220P Network Scanner: The ScanFront 220P offers an easy-to-use, stand-alone, and secure solution for moving capture of hard-copy documents closer to the point of origin within the business process. It is ideal for decentralized or distributed scanning applications, and for easily sharing documents via a network. The ScanFront 220P features an 8.4-inch color touch panel that allows for easy navigation as well as a preview of scanned images. It can scan letter-sized documents at up to 25ppm IV and captures color, grayscale and black and white images in various file formats including high compression and searchable PDF, TIFF and JPEG.

Helping to expand the versatility and compatibility of its image capture devices, Canon will have a solution software vendor, ImageSource, on display in its booth. ImageSource will be showing ILINX Capture, its document distribution solution, with the Canon ScanFront 220P Network Scanner.
