United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 04 March 2014 – Canon is teaming up with strategic partners at the inaugural InPrint 2014 (8-10 April 2014, Hannover) to demonstrate how end-to-end integrated digital workflows can produce high quality, durable, flexible and cost-effective industrial print applications that meet rigorous industry demands.

  • Canon to demonstrate complete workflow possibilities with industry partners for decorative and functional industrial print applications

  • Stand visitors to see live demonstrations of the OcÉ Arizona as part of a real-world industrial print workflow

  • A wealth of industrial customer success stories, as well as expert advice, on offer to inspire visitors

Visitors to the stand (Hall 21, Stand F10), will see the OcÉ Arizona® 480 GT flatbed in action as part of a complete workflow, printing both functional and decorative applications on substrates from MDF and 3D film to Plexiglas. Partner technology and software from co-exhibitors GFII (software for automation), ERPA (software for packaging), eurolaser (hardware for laser cut and finishing) and Welte (hardware for coating and finishing), will complete the visual workflow line-up and help to demonstrate the wide-ranging application possibilities for the manufacturing industry.

“Digital printing increases the design freedom of products meaning that printers, and indeed print buyers, are no longer restricted to the maximum five colours used in screen printing. Millions of colours are now at their disposal by adopting the capabilities of digital print,” said Duncan Smith, Wide Format Group Director, Canon UK.

“Importantly, as well as allowing for almost unlimited print opportunities, digital production can maintain the strict requirements of industrial applications such as meeting high quality standards and controls and remaining durable over the design-life of the product,” added Smith.
In addition to seeing the OcÉ Arizona as part of a real-world industrial print workflow, stand visitors will also be able to watch live demonstrations of the eurolaser M-800 laser cutter and Welte’s BÜrkle LFC 1300 liquid laminator device.

“The future potential of industrial print is exciting as it opens up new business opportunities with greater design freedom and the ability to produce unique and personalised products in a cost-effective way, starting with one printed piece. Whether visitors to InPrint 2014 are looking to digital technology for inspiration on decorative applications such as furniture and printed flooring, or more functional uses such as membrane switches or digital masking, they certainly won’t leave our stand disappointed,” added Smith.

“Canon has a wealth of successful customer applications to share and experts on-hand to offer advice and guidance on how to grow, and thrive, in this sector.”

Roberto Zinser, Channel Manager, Wide Format Group, Canon Germany, will be presenting on the topic of ‘Industrial functional & decorative inkjet printing’ as part of InPrint 2014’s conference programme in the Showcase Theatre, Hall 21 at 15:00 on 10 April
