Canon to bundle Nuance document imaging solution
Imaging solutions provider Canon UK has announced it will start bundling Nuance's eCopy PDF Pro Office with selected models from Canon's leading range of imageFORMULA document scanners, creating a simple-to-use yet powerful document imaging solution, helping organisations to streamline processes and improve productivity in the workplace.
Nuance's eCopy PDF Pro Office allows users to quickly and professionally create, modify and convert PDF documents into editable, searchable formats. Customers using these Canon imageFORMULA scanners will now benefit further from access to a range of advanced scanning and editing capabilities - including insertion of watermarks, stamps or rich media files - when capturing electronic copies of hard paper documents.
The new integrated solution enables organisations to bolster document security and boost collaboration - saving costs and improving overall efficiency in the office. Advanced security tools, such as the ability for users to search and automatically highlight or redact specific words, are particularly useful in education and legal industries.
To enable more efficient file sharing and storage, eCopy PDF Pro Office supports all industry standard PDF formats, including PDF-A for long-term archiving and powerful PDF compression to reduce file sizes by up to eight times. A FormTyper feature allows users to scan and convert paper documents into electronic PDF forms that can then be digitally completed online for fast and easier form-filling.
