Save Cost, Time and Space with Canon’s New Colour imageCLASS MF Series
The new colour printers offer advanced high-speed printing, eco-friendly benefits and network ready functionalities to meet the needs of today’s Small and Home Offices

Singapore, 13 August 2009 – Canon, today, announced the launch of its three new colour imageCLASS MF Printers – the MF 8030Cn, MF 8050Cn and MF 8350Cdn. Compactly designed with new and enhanced usability, the printers are built to offer affordable all-in-one solutions for the cost and space conscious Small and Home Offices (SOHO).

“In the current economic landscape, businesses especially Small and Home Offices, are searching for print solutions that will help to maximize productivity, streamline office workflow, keep costs at a minimum and yet still have room to grow” says Andrew Koh, Director and General Manager, Consumer Imaging and Information Division, Canon Singapore. “The new colour imageCLASS MF Printers were carefully designed to meet the daily SOHO’s document reproduction requirement. Enabling fast volume print, hassle-free copy and fax capabilities, these network enabled printers will help the SOHOs of today produce top quality business documents quickly and help them reach a new level of productivity and profitability”.

High Usability and Productivity

The MF8030Cn and MF8050Cn have rapid print speeds of 12 pages per minute (ppm) for black and 8 ppm for colour prints; and MF8350Cdn produces both black and colour prints at 20 ppm. The printing speed of these printers is greatly enhanced by Canon’s UFRII LT Printing Technology. This system helps contribute to the device’s Quick First Print (QFP) performance which cuts down unnecessary waiting time and device power consumption.

For easy viewing, the new colour imageCLASS series come with 5-line UI LCD that produces graphical instruction and animation. This is especially useful when paper jam occurs. Each device is also designed with front-drawer-like opening for easy cartridges replacement. As there is no opening at both side panels of the devices, the printers can be placed in a narrow space area, or attached nicely into a corner wall for an aesthetic, minimalist office.
Though compact in height and width, the paper delivery area of the new colour imageCLASS series is sufficiently maintained to contain up to 125-sheet output. Paper output is faced-up for instant recognition of documents.

Canon MF8030Cn, MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn offer standard 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) which enables users to feed multi-page originals of up to 50-sheet (A4) quickly and efficiently for continuous productivity.

Energy Efficient and Cost Saving

In many personal and small offices, a printer is often left idle for significant periods of time during a working day. Each printer of imageCLASS MF series is extremely power efficient in sleep mode, consuming only approximately 3 watts of energy. As well as minimizing the impact on the environment, this significantly reduces energy costs. From sleep mode, instantaneous printing of approximately 8 seconds is still possible with Canon's unique Quick First-Print technologies, which ensure that time is not lost waiting in front of the printer.

Each device is also equipped with an energy saver button to allow instant activation and deactivation giving users the most convenient way to save power.

All devices are Energy Star® compliant which is ideal for any office operating a Green Procurement Policy as well as for the environmentally conscious individuals. The MF8030Cn and MF8050Cn have been rated by Energy Star® TEC to consume lowest energy at 0.62 Kilowatt Hour per week; whilst the MF8350Cdn consumes 1.00 Kilowatt Hour per week.

Enhanced Network Connectivity and Security

For instant network connectivity, each printer is built with USB port as well as 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet interface.

Every model can take up to 30 Department or User IDs. Once activated, device can only be accessed with every authorized login-ID and password entry. Interval time for auto-logout can also be set to users’ preferences. Users can also choose to print both sides of the ID Card on 1-sheet of A4 paper, position it at 100% scale either horizontally or vertically as they please.

In addition, these new printers deploy a number of Canon patented colour imaging technologies such as dual direct mapping, pure black technology and auto-gradation adjustment to address the needs of today’s budget colour users.
