FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Sydney, 1 0ctober, 2009 - Canon Australia has announced two new colour multifunction laser printers designed to make high-end commercial print standards accessible to small business operators. Affordable and compact, the imageCLASS MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn deliver fast and accurate network laser output across printer, fax, scanner and copier functionalities.

“Fast print speeds and superior output quality will reduce small business reliance on outsourced printing. This, together with low ongoing running costs, empowers small business users with the efficiency of big business technology without the upfront outlay of a large business,” said Alyson Barden, Brand Manager – Laser, Canon Australia.

In addition to cost savings, small businesses will enjoy time saving benefits with new features improving convenience and ease-of-use. The first Canon colour multifunction laser printers with USB capability, the imageCLASS MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn enable users to scan all their important documents to a USB memory stick and carry it with them as required. The printers also feature large LCDs with graphic display, providing guided user animations to simplify tasks and save time on maintenance. Similarly, Canon’s unique On-Demand Fixing System facilitates instantaneous heating of the fusing heater, in turn reducing warm up time as well as power consumption.

“The imageCLASS MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn add to our range of laser printers designed to help small to medium operators improve back office efficiency to meet their business goals,” added Alyson Barden.

The imageCLASS MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn debut Canon’s innovative Pure Black Technology in a multifunction printer. By eliminating colour toner from the black and white printing process and using only black toner for this purpose, Canon Pure Black Technology delivers new cost savings while ensuring the richest black output quality.

With a 128MB shared memory and high speed USB 2.0, both the imageCLASS MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn quickly deliver print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and up to 2400 x 600 dpi enhanced resolution thanks to Canon’s exclusive smoothing technology. Users will also enjoy increased reliability and reduced storage needs as a result of the drum cartridge which combines all consumables.
