With the new 2035/45SP with the fax modem and the SAF memory. I told my customer about paperless faxing, they were open to the idea. They then asked this question in reference to having the faxes received electronically.

How do we know when the faxes come in? I felt like saying when you check the web monitor, and then I realized that this was a viable question.

Does anyone know if we get an alert through web monitor for the faxes or does soemone have to go in and check?

Thanx

If you set it up through DTB Lite to have faxes delieverd to a PC, then you can have the same type notifications that you get when you scan to DTB Lite. You even have the choice to delete the files (faxes) from the HDD when delivered to the PC or leave them on the HDD. If you choose the latter, then one person will receive the faxes at his/her desktop, and the ones left in the HDD can be viewed via the Web Browser. This is also a way to back up the faxes coming in in case someone views them on the Web Browser, deletes one or more, and then they need them again.
I didn't mean DTB Lite, I meant Auto Document Link. You set up the fax delivery like you would scan delivery. Insted of choosing Delivery Server, you choose "Fax Recieved File". Then you set it up like you would scan receipt. You can check the type of "Notification Method: "Display Message"; "Notification Sound"; "Flash Taskbar" or all of the above. Then you can select "Transfer new data after notification" which means the data will be "deleted from the server (HDD) after transferring" or unchecked will leave it on the HDD for viewing via the Web Browser. Hope this helps.
