Thanks for the link Art.

The pricing listed in this post is SIGNIFICANTLY below cost on all the products listed above (C900, Finisher, PerfectBinder, RingBinder, etc).

If this pricing post scares the competitors to Ricoh and helps drive down costs on competitive units for the p4p community ... then great. Realistically, no one will ever see that pricing on the street for a Ricoh c900.

Why would Ricoh price themselves closer to the Xerox 700 or KM 6500 when on the productivity side the c900 is 2, 3 or 4 times as fast when printing heavier stocks? Printing on heavier stocks then 28-32# bond is standard in the p4p marketplace. Especially coated stocks.

Anyway, if anyone has the actual quotation or bid I'd love to see it ... otherwise, we'd all be better off considering this an urban legend. Smile
I suspect that this is an example of a special "seed" pricing - most manufacturers end up doing this on new releases of equipment when they hold the pricing line at introduction only then to discover that the product isn't as well received as they thought. Agree with all that this pricing is not going to stick.
