Project reduces outpatient check-in by over 75 percent

MISSION VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AUXILIO, Inc. (AUXO.OB), the pioneer in Managed Print Services (MPS) for the health care industry, announced the release of an educational case study: “Workflow Efficiency Solutions.” The case study illustrates how AUXILIO’s MPS model for continuous quality improvement helped St. Joseph Hospital of Orange’s ‘Rapid Improvement Event’ for Outpatient Registration to build workflow efficiency by reducing check-in time for patients by 75 percent, advancing patient information security and maximizing savings.

“Hospitals are challenged to consistently deliver a satisfactory experience and ensure all patient information is collected securely and accurately,” said Joseph J. Flynn, chief executive officer, AUXILIO. “We worked side-by-side with key staff to implement high-performance standards that significantly improved St. Joseph Hospital of Orange’s registration process, reduced patient admissions check-in time from 23 minutes to approximately seven minutes, and decreased paper volume by 13 percent in less than a week’s timeframe. As a result, employee satisfaction has improved and the hospital is now better equipped to manage critical documentation and advance patients, information and resources with greater ease through the health care continuum.”
