We recently upgraded a customer to 3.6 and later learned he needed Autocad 2007. We sent him the drivers to load himself (which he did) but it does not seem to be working. After installing the drivers on the controller, he went into Autocad Plotter Manager and updated the drivers from within Autocad. His problem seems to be 30" wide originals. The 240W selects 36" paper or prints on 30" but he is losing image. It would appear that the 30" is the only problem. Right now as a work around he has to save all 30" Autocad files as PDF files and then send to 240W. Any ideas?

I can't say I've seen this. All I can offer is my first trouble-shooting step in cases like this. When the plot comes to Plotbase, what size does it detect?

You can see this with the file viewer on if you click on the job, then on the specific file, the size of the plot will be listed at the bottom of the file viewer window on the bottom right of the screen.

If the page size is anything over 30" (even 30.001) then it will not print on 30" paper. It may also be that the image is rotated incorrectly (the 30" should be the first number) but Plotbase is usually good about automatically fixing that.
I went out to my customer's office and we did a lot of test prints. He seems to have problems losing the trailing edge of the title for both 30x42 and 36x24 if he used the HDI drivers to print. He is using our 2007 HDI drivers but his version of Autocad is 2007.1. I would not think that this makes any difference but I can except the fact that he will not be able to print most of his files if he uses our HDI driver. If he uses Winprint to print out of Autocad, 36x24's comes out fine. 30x42's will lose the trailing edge of the title block even when using the Winprint driver. This holds true even if he saves the file (while in Autocad) to a PDF and tries to print using Winprint. If he takes the 30x42 image and prints at say 90% but still on a 30x42 piece of paper, he WILL get the entire image. If he prints the image at 90% (or any reduced size) and the printer picks a smaller paper, he will again lose the trailing edge. It appears as though there is something in the file of the 30x42 image that is telling the printer to not print the trailing edge if it gets to close to the edge (even though the line is no closer to the actual paper edge than the leading edge line which prints). This is true for both printing DWG's out of Autocad and also printing the 30x42 PDF's using Winprint.

Long story, but could this possibly be an Autocad issue with 30x42 files? Oh yeah, the trailing edge does show in the thumbnail image in Plotbase but it just will not print. Anyone have any issues with 2007 users or know of any known Autocad issues? Help!
