A new software product from Adobe that claims to reduce both paper and toner/ink consumption by automatically reformatting documents before they are printed.

Endorsed by Toshiba Business Systems and available on their website as a free trial.

A single user license costs $99.00 and there is a 30 day free trial.

I am not sure why MFP dealers would be trying to promote printing less pages thereby reducing their click revenues while increasing the % Toner coverage on each printed page.

I see value in the product and like how it reformats documents before you print them. You could definitely save on your paper costs.

It does take up to an extra two minutes per print job to figure how you want to use the software.

Toner Save would not be a big deal when Toner is included in the Maintenance contract. This feature seems more so for users who are purchasing their Toner or Inkjet consumables.

Like any new product it takes some trial/error and wasted pages to get used to the way documents are printed. You can access your device's full Print Driver but figuring out staple postions and front/back page orientation in a document while duplexing is tricky.

There is little useful explanation as to how the product arrives at the $ it claims to save before you send each individual job to print.

I figure if you could save printing 8 pages per day x60 months, the product would pay for itself via paper costs alone.
