Actual MPS Demand...

I will be signing up my first account for an MPS program, it's a DOD provider, about 40 employees at the location and they have about 19 printers, all HP, three different models.

The IT Managers decision was somewhat based on price, but more over paying for the service allows him to concentrate on more meaningful IT infrastructure instead of paying attention the mudane printers.

Yes, the majority of our MPS growth (in number of clients) is in SMB.

SMBs hire about 57% percent of the workforce and make up about 97% of US companies so thats good news.

Any SMB-MPS clients with less than 15 legacy devices?

I have a handful of these small accounts that bill between $500 & $1,000 but those are the ones where the cost-justification is more difficult, since I.T. doesn't spend much time troubleshooting such a small fleet. In these cases, it typically comes down to managing the fleet for a little more than they currently pay just for consumables.

We also have a few with less than 15 devices, but that isn't really our target. We're happy to do it, mainly as a favor to our customer, but it's not a great fit for them or us.
