Ricoh Corporation Introduces the Aficio 2090 and Aficio 2105; Versatile
High Volume Systems That Hit the Mark on Performance
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2003--

Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable Digital(TM) output company, today
introduced the Ricoh(R) Aficio 2090 and Aficio 2105, two high performance
digital imaging systems designed for the Walk-up, Print-for-Pay, Central
Reprographics Departments and Data Centers.

These two new multifunction digital imaging systems provide production
quality imaging and high performance printing. Both the Aficio 2090 and the
Aficio 2105 allow for input efficiency, convenient digital document
routing, and desktop document management with a host of professional
finishing options.

To maximize input efficiency, the series allows users to scan hard copy
documents directly from the control panel to e-mail for immediate
distribution. The Aficio 2090 and Aficio 2105 each feature a digital
document routing system that allows for rapid distribution of scanned
documents, which saves an organization the high cost of multiple desktop
scanners.

Additionally, the advanced optional finishing capabilities on the Aficio
2090 and Aficio 2105, include a 100-sheet multi-position staple capacity
with a two- and three- hole user selectable punch unit and a production
bookletmaker, help users achieve professional output at cost effective
prices.

"The Aficio 2090 and Aficio 2105's advanced capabilities enable every
organization to effectively streamline their document workflow resulting in
enhanced user productivity," said Hede Nonaka, Vice President of Marketing,
Ricoh Corporation. "Ricoh is committed to bringing value to our customers,
and satisfying their document workflow applications by offering the latest
technology."

Trading on a long legacy of experience in digital technology, the new Ricoh
Aficio 2090 and 2105 represent one of the most versatile and productive
systems that Ricoh has ever brought to market. These systems reflect a new
age of proven Next Generation Architecture that can be easily configured to
any customer network in any environment.

Aficio 2090 and Aficio 2105 features include:

Input Efficiency - Scan to E-mail enables users to scan to multiple e-mail
addresses from the touch panel display, scan documents from the document
feeder or platen glass, and store up to 2,000 e-mail addresses for instant
access. ScanRouter, which can directly interface with a system's network
scanner, allows users to scan printed documents, photos and various forms
to produce digital files that can be electronically transmitted over the
network. Additionally, ScanRouter allows users to automatically receive
documents via e-mail or by notification.

GlobalScan - GlobalScan facilitates network scanning, electronic document
distribution, global address book access and security. It connects up to
100 MFP's through a single server, saves on the high cost of multiple
desktop scanners and combines scanner, copier and printer operations into
one office system. GlobalScan also features network login authentication
while allowing for the encryption of scanned documents with 128-bit
encryption.

Document Management - The Document Server feature allows users to view and
manage all stored information right from their system's hard drive. Users
manage their documents with features such as File Merge Printing,
Print-On-Demand, Proof Printing, Scan Page Printing and Secure Printing.
The DeskTopBinder capability helps users display saved documents, create
notes, view and combine different documents/formats and print them directly
into the standard toolbar.

Comprehensive Finishing - The Aficio 2090 and Aficio 2105 allow users to
finish all jobs with versatile, cost-effective finishing options. The
3,000-sheet SR840 Finisher offers 100-sheet multi-position staple capacity
for neatly collated and stapled documents. The SR860 Finisher offers both
multi-position stapling and saddle stitch capabilities. The SR90 Production
Bookletmaker supports full-speed production of multiple sets of
professionally folded and stapled booklets. New to the Aficio 2090 and the
2105 is the addition of the Interposer unit. The Interposer provides the
ability to insert preprinted or color output within documents from either
walk-up or directly from the desktop.

The suggested retail price of the Aficio 2090 is $41,000 and the Aficio
2105 retails for $50,000.
