Well the new 1515MFP was shown at Vision. It is a souped up 1013F!

15 ppm/cpm plus fax along with scan2pc. I did not have time to ask it was using scan router lite or the new Scan2FTP.

My thoughts is that this system can be great for the medical office that needs lite copying and scanning of medical records. I will have to check with Doculex in the next few days too see if these3 units are compatible.

Can anyone else who was at Vision tell us a little more about the 1515MFP?

Thanx

They keep changing the link. It works for a while then goes bad. They must not like outside links to the pages so I took it away. Anyway, it is the Aficio FX-16 ... looks like another Samsung device. I doubt we will ever see this thing. Nice features, full color scanning, but the Samsung model is so inexpensive. I think it is also relabeled by a number of other OEM's

It is on Ricoh Europe.

We have the Savin 3515MF in our office, also available as the 3515f and 3515, the same as the new Ricoh products.

Great product. Offering Scan to email and scan to folder via Scan Router Lite/Delivery Server. This is a great new product for segment 1. Now they get it all, even 1 to 2 duplexing. It's a sooked up 13 and it is going to help us get everyone scanning. The software guys will love it (that's your cue Steve, I will call you when I get a chanceSmile

We've been selling the Samsungs for over a year now. My jaw dropped when I opened the launch packet and saw that Ricoh was retagging them. I don't recommend them, they are meant to compete with the retail products and you get what you pay for. The small one has a lousy doc. feeder and the cost of operation on the other is pretty high. Both have serious issues with Dual Access and I wouldn't put them in any office where people actually want to fax and copy without interruption. Warm up is also not good even when you tweak it. My other concern is that we've seen some of the Samsung printers at Sam's Club and we wonder if the copiers will go the same route. However, we have had good luck with their fax machines and that's the first product I remember that Ricoh introduced (Savin 3710).

3 out of 5 new reliable products aren't bad.
Is this 1515 a retagged samsung, or is it a RICOH? Has anyone had the opportunity ot see or touch one? Finally, what are all of you running service at? I am presenting these and can fid no info on them....other than a spec page on the GESTETNER web-=site.....

thanks for the help.
Concerning memory, here is what is said in the product information manual ...

"Virtually all systems sold
today offer some amount of standard memory. However, many of them require users to
purchase additional memory in order to gain advanced functionality ... With the Aficio 1515 Series all of the memory you need to gain
access to advanced capabilities is included with the system."

I believe all memory options are included with the upgrades. You have no need to add memory for copy only ... if you add printing or faxing, the memory is already included in feature option.
