Those are all pretty good and I agree this jobs takes you into businesses that you never thought of. The best I can do in 18yrs is a bee farm and the office of personnel management in Pittsburgh. The entire operation is in a mine and in the middle of freaking nowhere!

Re: Network Services

Larry Levine ·
I feel in order to transformm your dealership there needs to be a strong emphasis on the IT side of your business. Your clients need to view you as a solutions provider which means being verse in all apsects of our business. It just so happens the IT side of life is extremely important to our business. Fluent IT within a dealership could lead to a wealth of new business opportunities. When you farm out IT to connect you lose control. This my opinion.

This is the type of Political discourse we all need; Statement of views, discussion and a resolution that we disagree but that its OK to disagree. I hate the "down your throat" rhetoric that you hear on talk radio or the cable "news" networks - nothing more than salacios entertainment. As for the fishing holes I'm sure you know of a good farm pond in Ky.

I was involved with this bid. They do not want to do business with RBS but I can not even come close. This is a five year deal. Service is all inclusive along with staples. Just Friday my DSm said I would get no support from Ricoh because this is a RBS account already. Nice to see they support the growth of the dealers while direct gives the farm away.

Amanda: What type of finishing?, do they need booklet making, more than 20 11 x 17's? Would they like to have spot color? Finishing options are available, however my first approach would be with two 90's with the finishers. You can sell the sizzle, that the systems will pretty much work unattended. They will have to fill and empty the paper, any printer would love to have the job run with out much labor involved and you can also sell the sizzle of direct print from the PC. If the finishing...

Hey Bumble: I guess in the states that would come under Ricoh's MDS "Champs", hope I'm right on the that. We can engage with a customer and then have Ricoh involved. However, for MNS and BDR, we do that internally and don't farm that out.

A Halloween Tale of an A3 Copier’s Death

Ray Stasiezcko ·
A Halloween Tale of an A3 Copier’s Death As the copier homicide unit arrived, the scene was familiar. The office hallway barely lit the trash can next to the copier was laying on its side, the window was broken from the inside and when looking out one can see an A3 Copier laying smashed on the sidewalk below. Recognizable by the owners manual still taped to the broken 11/17 paper drawer and the rainbow color on the sidewalk created by splattering CMYK toner. Yes, it appears there was another...
