Canon C356iF-C256iF II Spec Check Review

Art Post ·
It's not often that I'm intrigued by a competitors color MFP. It was two or three weeks ago when a prospect asked, "what do you know about the Canon C356iF?". Well, I was kind of embarrassed because I knew nothing about that Canon device. The only thing I could mutter out was that I would have to do some research and get back to them (not good). It's not like me to not know about my competitors devices, thus I started my quest to know as much as I can about the Canon C356iF. I'm not going to...

I’d also add that we place this in a lot of SOHO environments (small office home office) configured as “table top” or freestanding. We’ve won a number of accounts against competition because this is a legit baby “copier”. We can put them in with a fleet of it’s big brothers and not worry about this one being different. One huge thing about this device as you mentioned the true Adobe PS is quality. The color quality coming off this little guy is PHENOMENAL! It’s as good as the larger iR...

Used to sell these all the time to clients that didn't need A3. The Quick Menu, OOXML scanning and high quality colour output would win many deals. Not to mention the price. Used to sell it for around $3k purchase price (~$60/month lease) at $0.013 black, $0.095 colour with a 30% gross margin. The only other A4 machine on the market that's better (IMO) is the KM bizhub C3850FS.

Ran into a competitor selling this machine recently for $68 a month including 1,500 B/W pages per month and overages and Color billed quarterly on a 63-month lease. Pictures on the proposal were of a loaded machine but in reality what the customer was going to receive was a tabletop single drawer configuration and extra drawers and a cabinet were up-sells. Also the customer's page volume was really 1,100 pages B/W per month so in reality their effective CPC was higher than what the proposal...

We sell a lot of these a4 machines. The cost per page is at or below others A3, has all the features of a larger a3 machine without the costs. The machine will run well over 8 k per month without problems. The color quality is much better than that washed out look that you get from lesser brands.
