Hey Art! I started using Aweber email software about 5 months ago. I send out a monthly newsletter with a customized template. People read it! Best part is that you always stay top of mind with your prospects. I actually exported my contact list from my CRM software and imported that into Aweber. Currently have about 100 prospects and customers in my email list. It's great! Much cheaper than a mailer.

That reminds me of the controversy when IKON started to absorb RBS into it's operation and they targeted the Teknoforce first: "These new Toyota vehicles would no longer be painted with the TEKNOFORCE logo, yet they would be launched as the IKON I-KARS, as part of the IKON Assimilation Strategy. As the RBS Direct Branches and IKON local offices merged, the new entity would be supplied with IKON I-KARS, accompanied by a national advertising campaign. The difference between Perry's 20% flat tax and Cain's 9-9-9 is that Perry's plan does not include a consumption tax (nat'l sales tax). I haven't been comfortable with the fact that Cain's plan would have even the poorest paying a 9% national sales tax on top of their state sales tax. My view of Perry is that he would be capable and is genuinely fiscally and socially conservative. He gets a bad rap for some of what he has had to do regarding illegal immigration but unless you live in a...

Your Competitive Advantage Selling Your Unique Attributes What's your competitive advantage? You can turn those cold calls into warm calls by explaining to your prospect just what makes you unique, different and better than the competition! The best way to explain a competitive advantage is by first talking about what it is not. "We give great customer service" is NOT aunique competitive advantage. Every company in the world makes this claim - whether it is true or not. This type of line is...

Tips to Help Your Telemarketing Campaign The first few seconds are crucial Just like you would when writing a sales letter or press release, you should fill the first few seconds with as many key words and phrases as possible to gain an immediate interest from the customer. You may only get a chance to get out two or three sentences before the customer stops you to say they have no interest, so make them count. Don't assume they need something - this is very off putting. Instead, ask the...

There is friction feed with air separation on all the current production machines. So they have rollers that actually feed the paper and there are fans that blow the paper apart to help prevent multifeeding and it also helps if the paper sticks together and won't pull out of the tray.

Don't Be So Exclusive In business, it's easy for clients to think that you only offer one service or product - the one they've most recently bought from you. Make the extra effort to educate your clients about all your products and services. A financial planner we know conducts a monthly direct mail campaign that highlights one service or financial product that he offers. This has lead to a great number of referrals from clients who may not need that particular service/product, but pass the...

All you have to do is look at the competitive analysis (See Attached) between the Ricoh C4503 and C6502 against the competitors from Canon, Xerox, and KM to see how much of a difference True Adobe PostScript makes in the printing speed. Emulation machines are noticeably slower, to the point that you could argue that a lesser Ricoh needs to be proposed in order to compare accurately.

Hey Jeff, Art's Box Approach (I believe) is using 4 different methods of communication: Phone Call LinkedIn Email In-Person Cold Call You "box" the prospect in until they finally give you the time of day. Using all 4 methods of communication ensures that you are optimizing your ability to reach the DM via his preferred method.

I agree to a certain extent, Art, but at the same time, our industry has a deservedly bad reputation for being overly-persistent in efforts to reach prospects. The way in which people evaluate products, services, vendors, etc. has completely changed due to the wealth of information that is available online. Many buyers now want to know what they want (especially in up & down the street accounts) before they ever agree to talk to a salesperson. There are only so many hours in a day, &...

So, far, I've only got 60 clients and prospects on the list, but, that will grow in time, in fact one of the blog articles already turned in to a 25k opp. Art
