Ever since I saw the name Nozomi I was curious where it came from. I found this on wikipedia Nozomi ( Japanese : のぞみ , lit. "Wish" or "Hope," and known before launch as Planet-B ) was a Mars orbiter that failed to reach Mars due to electrical failures. The mission was terminated on December 31, 2003. Re: RISO ME9450 Questions

Kevin Foley ·
Aside from RISO's SF5130, all of their duplicators now come standard with a network card for network printing. However, printing from MAC OS requires ordering a Mac Driver which requires a license key ordered from RISO - doesn't cost anything to order. Also, RISO's Mac Drivers are always behind with current Mac OS versions. They haven't released a driver compatible with OS X 10.15 even though it's been about 6 months since 10.15 was released. Sorry I'm late to the party.

Imagine a CMYK copier, except remove the CMY toner and developer and insert a new Erasable Blue (EB) toner and developer. Modify the copier so that when the Erasable blue toner passes back through the heat of the fuser, it de-colorizes the blue to white. A new rules based print driver can automatically makes software apps like emails auto print in blue plus provide a new counter to show how much paper, CO2 and money you saved. The previous generation product appealed to too small a section...

when you load the bypass tray it will auto recognize the paper in a pop-up menu, and if you look closely there is a section near the bottom where it shows what a media is defaulted and a button that says “change “. This is where you would program in the media wait. I believe it would be heavy six, if you hit the details button on that screen you will see it by GSM The varnish would be questionable. I’m thinking, try using the selection for “2nd side of printed media”

It was briefly at $1.0030 earlier this week. It is now at $0.975. It should be around $0.89 but because the US Govt is running massive deficits Canada looks good. If China ever pulls the plug and calls in its US Bonds, it will not be pretty.

China won't pull in it's bonds since it would ruin the US economy and China would lose one of it's largest if not the largest trading partner.

Most of the copiers we sell are assembled in Europe, but the parts come from China, Japan etc. So if the quake is going to have an impact on our sale then it probably won’t happen until (maybe) this summer... Toshiba HQ Bldg. in Tokyo is designed to resist earthquakes. Employees actually felt sea sick on the upper floors as the building gently swayed back and forth absorbing the shock waves. This was an article from the NY times over the weekend! SHIBATA-MACHI, Japan — When the ground shook violently on the afternoon of March 11, the ceiling collapsed in part of the huge Ricoh copier factory here, exposing the vents and wires above. The offices at the Ricoh plant near Sendai are still in disrepair; workers have focused on restoring the factory and production. The ceiling is still not fixed. The root cause of the feud is a couple of very small uninhabited islands off the coast of Japan. Both countries want to claim sovereignty. The value is in the rich fishing grounds and possible oil underneath the sea. Panasonic has already closed at least one plant in China as a direct result. We can only hope this does not impact the MFP industry.

watch out for CHINA, no other country has anywhere near the population, nor the revenues that China is accumulating. the next war may not be a war of the military but a war of crippling a nations economy and stealing data/secrets/intellectual property. While everyone is watching the arab spring, Iraq, Afganistan, the europe debt crisis, CHINA is the sleeper that is on it's way to become a military and econmoic powerhouse. They are already flexing their muscle with loaning money to the world.

Sometimes we all seem to focus too much on our local markets, it's good to see what some of the other manufacturers are doing in those markets. I had not idea Toshiba was number 1 in China, China a huge market and still developing. This is also helps me understand why Toshiba is still manufacturing MFP's. All I knew about was there less than stellar Marketshare here in the US. I'm sure others appreciate this also, and that's why we're all here to share information. Thanx
