Memoirs of a Copier Sales Person "Never Stop Doing Your Home Work"

On My Way Home I’m on my way home this evening in another driving rainstorm in New Jersey. I have one stretch of highway that is 10 miles in length but has 35 traffic lights! Only in New Jersey! Hardly ever do I catch all of the traffic lights when they're green. As I sat at one of those red lights, I thought about how much time I spent working a wide format opportunity today. That red light was symbolic to me because it reminded me that there are always obstacles in your way when you're...

A Funny Thing Happened After My Sales Appointment

Art Post ·

The appointment was to review costs, volume of prints and what's changed with my client in the last 12 months. I did my bit and then asked what's changed beside the recent move. To my surprise the client was interesting in upgrading their existing wide format to one that could print and copy in color. Thus, I led the client through the pro's and...

Ricoh Wide Format is okay but...

Art Post ·
Just noticed today that the Ricoh MP W6700SP is coming up on the three year anniversary of it's launch. The MP 6700SP has proved to be an awesome device and helping with upgrading many of the older W3601's. Lately, I'm seeing a shift in needs for wide format. More and more users are asking for color wide format and they really don't want ink based devices (except for the HP Pagewides). The CW2201SP is great but has some limitations. Would really like to see Ricoh partner with memjet and...

On the 2200 you needed to change settings in service mode but on the 2201 they added an auto nozzle check feature to solve this issue. The forgot to turn it on though so you need to go into system settings and set auto nozzle check to frequent.
