Re: How to Configure Scan to Folder with Static Password

Depending on the flavor of XP, you can do it two ways. One would be going to either the desktop and finding their My Computer icon, or going to the Start Menu and right clicking on their My Computer icon there. Right click on that icon and select Manage. Under System tools open up the "Local Users and Groups" tree. Under there select the "Users" folder. Go to the "Action" pull down menu and select "New User..." From here, add the username and password and I suggest unchecking the "User Must...

Web Image Monitor is also worth evaluating as it also has the ability to track copier and print volume by user. The data...

I showed it to Todd Pike at the House of Blues (Where we were doing our evening activity) and asked him if he had something to share with the group? He told us that this article is purely speculation on the writers part. The next day when Samsung did the panel discussion, Todd addressed this article to the whole group and said the same thing. Have not sold one yet, and I'm thinking it's for a few reasons. A. Finishers are not as important to end users for this segment of color B. I'm forgetting that we have this really cool feature! 2) After a year on the market, how are you guys feeling about the optional 10.1" Smart panels? How often are you...

The Samsung SCX-4216F machine (codename Rocky) is also sold as the Xerox Pe16 and the Lexmark X215. All four products are almost identical, apart from some minor differences such as toner yield, bundled software, default fax/copier mode and panel design. Nice product for boxmovers, however it cannot be compared to the quality of the new 1515.

SP2 activates Windows Firewall by default. In addition, if you turn around and deactivate Windows Firewall, SP2 pops up a warning everytime you turn your PC on that your PC is in danger and you should turn Windows Firewall back on. The solution is to turn off Windows Firewall (through Control panel) and then go to Security Center and tell it not to notify you.

Not that I know of yet. Was it part of the Seri configuration? I knew they were developing that, but thought it was going to be a Seri hybrid - that is using a resin ink. Also, how many heads did it have? My information says that they might have up to 6 heads when all said and done. They are supposed to be replacing the 8500 with a unit that has the HQ master technology, with much greater functionality at the control panel. Any new news of that?

You didnt mention the application but I had this happen when a customer was using a tax software program. The program print driver showed a left slanted staple position and when selected wouldnt staple and showed no error. I noticed that the control panel of the copier showed only a right slanted staple so he switched to that and it stapled OK. So just because you can select it in an apps properties, if the machine cant interperet it, it wont do it. Hope this helps

I'd like to get this question answered both for print and copy. When talking about printing, you refer to meta data. Please explain meta data. I assume this is information sent with the print job to the printer. So if I send a BW or color page to the printer and have color selected in the driver, meta data is sent to the printer and all prints whether BW or color are printed as color. Therfore BW pages are printed using "proceesed black". If BW is selected in the driver.all pages print as BW...
