Ricoh challenge of the day

John Mooney ·
So here's a new one that has me stumped. A sales rep sold a Ricoh MP C4504ex to a real estate company. The company was hoping to bill back the realtors for copies and prints and have the users authenticate via the key cards with the Ricoh QCA and card reader. Everything is great on paper but no one brought up to the rep (and they didn't involve their solutions manager , yours truly, on the initial conversation) that 60% of the realtors use macs and lo and behold QCA doesn't work with Macs at...

So, a little more on this we used Ricoh Smart Device Accounting for monitoring copies and prints to the new MP C501SPF's. Users need to put pins codes in for print and a report is gathered each month by the administrator for bill back. No cards required. Our client uses both MAC's & PC's with no issues. Hope this helps. I'm not a wine drinker however a bottle of Patron would be acceptable

Use PA6 instead the new Infinite. When Infinite gets certified by Ricoh, you can upgrade to it with nothing more than a few mouseclicks.

Art Post ·
Reading between the lines...... When a clients asks you "is that the only brand you sell?" What are they trying to tell you? In my years of experience it tells you a couple of things.... 1. They have better pricing on other devices 2. They would rather do business with you 3. Your product and services are in the mix Thus what can you do to help the process along? #clients #branding #valueproposition #value #selling
