SSG that's an awesome video! You can send links to clients, and direct them to your channel. It's a virtual demo that keeps on giving. Kudos I have some of the same issues with getting appointments through Linkedin, however I know of several peeps that use Linkedin as their only source for prospecting and they are doing well. I will keep working it since I have a Navigator account now

same here, equally as impressive is that it will scan to USB just as fast. Customer wanted to take the scanned files back to the office after the demo to make sure they were searchable and check the quality

I think the part of the problem is even though the ink is dry, it has a moist feeling to it. When it drops off into the trays there is a hump (see pic) that the paper drops out on. I think that is part of the problem with the curl. The prints look good and once I lay the paper out on a desk it flattens out but in my opinion it just does not demo well with regular paper.

interesting, I know wonder if Epson demonstrated the device with heavier paper at a few of the events I was at. I didn't see any curl. Not saying that it doesn't, but it wouldn't be the first time peeps did a "controlled" demo

Ill try to do a video once the machine gets back to my office. It is on a truck back from one of our branch offices now. I just don't think it demo's well in front of the customer.

Yay! Our Governor is opening State and County Parks on May 2nd....with conditions with social distancing. Getting to hate that "social" crap. Many people are furious in New Jersey about the handling of the shut down along with not having the ability to get outside. After pressure the Gov caved to the pressure. Schools typically buy in the summer and bought larger equipment. Back then, suits were mandatory...that IBM look. Imagine if you will what a demo was like after you had just unloaded a 300 lb. copier in 100+ degree heat while wearing a suit!!! And I was in Iowa at the time. I can't imagine what Texas was like. I had been a pretty successful typewriter salesman, when I first applied for a job with Nashua. So much so my pride and joy was the Mercedes Benz I drove. When told by the Nashua Sales Manager that my Benz was inappropriate, and that I had to have a wagon, I knocked the job back. Despite wide format volumes in the AEC world dropping the market still expects a certain level of job submission capability. It doesn't have to be at the level of PLP or ReproDesk, but I would hate to be going into a demo either: a) Justifying charging a significant % of the capital cost for something Xerox (AccXES), Océ (OPS) and others give away; or b) Trying to convince the customer he doesn't need job submission. I n 2006, at least for me, wide format was the product to sell! I couldn't have cared less about selling a copier, I wanted to dig under every rock and find those wide format opportunities.
