I would love to see some creativity here. How about adding an envelope feeder to the system, right??

I have a few PCS Director installs but have never installed Print Audit. Is there anything different than the two products aside from branding?

Re: PCS Director Embedded Receives Certification with Latest Ricoh Multifunction Devices
Hi Txeagle24, Technically Identical, Print Audit builds the PCS Director software for Ricoh, Ricoh then Supports and markets the PCS Director product as their own. If you have current customers on PCSD you should have them update to the latest version, there are a number of enhancements to the embedded they may appreciate.

Re: PCS Director Embedded Receives Certification with Latest Ricoh Multifunction Devices
We became a Premier Partner with Print Audit so naturally, our orders now go through them. The main differences have more to do with timing of upgrades. For instance, we have had Print Audit Secure for quite awhile but PCS Director still doesn't have it I don't think. Also, I think you'll find that you can't "sell" the PA6 software if you are a RFG Dealer. All that having been said, all the things that people care about functionally, are the same.

Re: PCS Director Embedded Receives Certification with Latest Ricoh Multifunction Devices
Old Glory, Secure is now available through Ricoh. This latest version of PCSD now offers Secure Embedded, and the ability to process multiple jobs within a log in. The application works on all devices from Java 11 and older, except for devices with the 4.3" screen which Print Audit is currently developing.

Re: Ricoh's Simplified Touch Screen @ Convergence
Agreed that this looks very much like an Android. I'm surprised how fast the panel swipe is. Ricoh has definitely improved the ease of use. Do you think MFP's will soon come installed with Windows or Mac operating systems to become another workgroup computer in the office with print/scan capabilities? Seeing this Ricoh makes me think that is coming in a few years.

Re: Ricoh's Simplified Touch Screen @ Convergence
there are three generations so to speak for the GUI Android OS. It seems this will be the platform of GUI OS for all manufacturers. Look for many apps to be developed that will drive a monthly fee for copiers.

Hurray for Ricoh in New Zealand!!! This move is bound to increase your sales and allows you to move into a closed market for consumables, plus you'll be able to gain access to additional new new accounts!!! Wish the US would make a move like this!

Re: Ricoh Distributed Scan Management with new 03 series
DSM will let you centrally manage scan buttons on an mfp (that supports DSM) to a folder, email, or SharePoint from a Windows 2008 R2 Server. Access to the buttons is controlled with AD. No OCR functionality but it is now an option on the mfp itself. No more individual address books to worry about. Ricoh announced support back in 2010 but unfortunately very few models have it.

Re: How does Ricoh remote compare to print fleet?
Well, I evaluated @remote years ago before we decided on Printfleet so my info may be dated. From what I recall @remote did a fine job of collecting meters on my Ricoh devices. Not so well on non-ricoh devices. It did not have any accounting capabilities as it simply pulled data from the copiers. Printfleet does the same, pulls meters from devices, has very robust reporting such as: Want to know how much your printer prints from 8-9am Monday morning? It can tell you. The quality of the data...

Re: Who is still Selling the Ricoh W3601?
I'm doing a proposal for one this morning. We'll see how it goes. Customer already has a quote in hand on the Kip 7100.

Re: Who is still Selling the Ricoh W3601?
The typical w3601 user doesn't need a robust software package to do small/medium jobs or walkup copying. The post script drivers work fine for all of my users. Tough sell now, forget about making any money.

Re: New MPC 03 series
yup, there it is optional!! Geezzz, maybe if the customer agrees to a three year non cancellable MA plan we can thrown the screen in for $9.95!

Maybe we could sell the display we take off back to Ricoh? Doesnt make sense to throw it away or keep it in stock for the next 10 years...lets go green and recycle!

Re: New MPC 03 series
Kitz: Not a bad idea, Ricoh may credit us $10 or so for the part and we'd pay $12.00 to ship it back to them. The screen should have been a standard feature and the manufacturers need to stop playing games with MSRP so that the price of the system is in line with others. Adding $189 on the MSRP is not going to hurt any sales n fact it would add sizzle and save dealers and sales people money. Being an option, I would get charged and additional fee to take the old one off and install the new one.

Re: New MPC 03 series
This is a funny question, but did Ricoh stop including "SP" at the end of its MFPs with this series? I don't see it in Ricoh's US nomenclature anymore..

Re: New MPC 03 series
They haven't since they started including Scan/Print as standard on the color boxes. No need to designate them as SP if there is nothing that is without SP.

I haven't sold one since they raised the price and included plotworks. Has anyone done a street price comparison with the W3601, the PLotwave 350 and the KIP7100? Or can anyone report on what a recent OCE plotwave 350 or KIP 7100 sold for with a single roll feeder, scan and print?

Re: Who is still Selling the Ricoh W3601?
I just got this from one web site for the KIP7100 with a dual roll feeder. I believe our MSRP is $2,000 or so higher (don't have my book on me).

If the unit is not that old, maybe there ia warranty on the print head. The brochure states one year for parts.
