The last thing I'd do is lowball that deal. If you win it on a lowball bid and the customer isn't happy with your image quality they are going to torture you. You're going to need plenty of margin in that deal to make up for the aggrivation you are going to get out of it.

Did not mention Paper Stock, I will make sure that is equal also. I don't have the machines in my showroom, but we do have them in the field, perhaps a field trip to a customer site is the way to go, showing them the samples right there. Then maybe K-M can do the same. Will let you all know when I do.

Re: Why is single clicking an 11×17 on a “copier” legal?

CashGap ·
Actually, the real misleading practice is when the machine is set to double-click 11x17. It is one piece of paper, one printed page, one click. Like having a car odometer that registered two miles when you drove the car one mile uphill, or registered two miles when you drove one mile at high speed. The industry simply developed its own conventions with the single/double click convenient for both the end-user and the dealer. Rather than a click rate for each paper size (similar to two...

A Konica Minolta Banner sheet is technically only one piece of paper. Are you saying that it should be single clicked also? The only reason that this is an issue is the common practice of Print for Pay shops to run all or almost all of their letter jobs two up and then cut them in half. The end result is to produce 10,000 Letter sheets, that is what they will deliver to their customer. But the choose to do them two up on 5,000 11x17 sheet to cut thier cost in half. But the MFD gets the same...

I am not sure why MFP dealers would be trying to promote printing less pages thereby reducing their click revenues while increasing the % Toner coverage on each printed page. I see value in the product and like how it reformats documents before you print them. You could definitely save on your paper costs. It does take up to an extra two minutes per print job to figure how you want to use the software. Toner Save would not...

We finished the job in 75 minutes with no wrinkles, we did have several misfeeds, however I'm blaming that on me not knowing how many envelopes to put in each tray.
