All Ricoh A4 devices = no stapler

Today, I was like wtf? We don't have any A4 device that has an optional stapler anymore? I checked the 402, the 501, the 601 and nothing. I called my DSM and stated, "we don't have this anymore?", "why", of course I knew that he could not answer that. However it did make me wonder if that was a planned move not to offer staplers on the A4 devices any more. Thinking that this would drive more A3 sales. I was up against a Canon black A4 device that has an optional stapler and I got nothing.
