My sales month ended today, thus allowing time for our beloved bean counters the chance to close the month on the calendar end of month. don't mind and I'm kind of use to it. However, that was right after the IKON purchase and within four months (end of Japanese) there was to be major cuts with high level legacy employees. The side-by-side that Mr. Copy posted was for the MP C4500 SPF, which includes fax. The revised attachment shows the MP C4500 for a more apples-to-apples comparison. Please note that copy/scan/print are all standard on the Ricoh, while scanning is optional on the Xerox.

Hi Art, This model is discontinued, replaced by the first Canon iR Advance color MFP series. MSRP for mainframe is $13k cabinet - $243 DADF - $1200 Super G Multi-line fax is $1,275 So total MSRP is: $15718, but I wouldn't expect to see this selling for more than $9k - maybe a few thousand less given where it is in its lifecycle.

Re-posting this made me realize I never did tell you all about the color label printer from Canon. It prints @ 1200 dpi (inkjet), variable data printing, and prints full color images onto rolls of adhesive labels. At this time the product was not available in the US ad they were going to release it to Canon USA in the third quarter of 2002. As of yet I have not seen one. Is there anyone out (maybe you IKON guys) that knows more or has this product? Art

OK, try this: On the desktop, set up a new folder, and name it ABC. In scanner settings box, use 215 dpi. select "scanner" for format size. In the main scanner settings box, under settings - options - general tab, select set and file. The path for the scan to file lights up - set for C://desktop/ABC then CLICK APPLY. Open a new set in scantool, and scan a 36 x 24 document. 1. Does it appear on your screen correctly? 2. Does the TIFF / PDF image appear back in the folder ABC on the desktop?

Associating the 1200 series in anyway to the 2200 series is doing a great disservice to the 2200 series. The 1200 series is monocomponant and the function of making a copy has nothing in common to the 2200 series. Other than the simple fact they both are convenience color machines, they have very little in common internally.
