Making promises and keeping them is a great way to build a brand Seth Godin I ask you to think about these two words "broken promises" and what it means to you and to your clients. Many sales reps are extremely casual about making promises. As a result, their promises are quite often made at the drop of a hat with no thought behind the long term impact. “It has been awhile let’s do lunch,” “I’ll call you later,” or better yet “Let me do some research and get right back to you” are all...

Hey Larry I agree that not all will buy from you if you tell them that you need the order to hit quota. Matter of fact, it should be "most will not buy from you". What I'm saying is, as long as you build those relationships, there are people who will buy from you because of that relationship. They will help you if you tell them you need help. It has happened. On the other hand, they could see value in buying from me because I have helped them reduce costs, increase productivity and or helped...

80% is a very optimistic estimate. All devices we've ordered from Canon in the past 6 months have taken AT LEAST 30 days to arrive, but 90+ days has been the "average". We still have a half dozen unreceived equipment orders from November/December with "No ETA". This increase is going to squeeze a lot of their small dealers out of selling Canon who already experienced pressures from their Price Discount Level changing last year which basically acted as a 3-4% price increase on hardware for...
