OMG, it's a Brother "Part 3"

It Tuesday evening, just past midnight my time and a little past nine pm Vegas time. The flight out to Vegas was comfortable and a nice flight. I had five hours to reflect on meeting Peter (my brother) at McCarren airport. About a week ago I had suggested that he pick me up at the airport on his way to Las Vegas. Peter agreed and the time was coming to and end when we finally would meet in person. For the last three weeks we've been chatting on and off. With most of the calls was more about...

8:30 a.m. in Germany is 2:30 a.m. in my native east coast U.S. time zone. I was jet lagged from the previous day’s flight. It was already hot, and there was no air conditioning in the conference room of the hotel in Bad Wörishofen. Coffee. Europe has the best coffee. My discomfort alleviated, I still did not expect that this day in July of 2016 would have such a profound impact on DocuWare and the way we operate. This was the first day of a workshop that introduced our senior management team...

Avoid Insulting the Customer Obvious, right? Well, people do it without even realizing by using comments like "did you understand that?" and "are you following what I'm saying?". This automatically shrinks the customers' intelligence and ability to catch on. It is down to your own ability to make the customer understand and therefore if you feel the customer is failing to do so, use comments such as "did I explain that clearly" and so on. I mentioned in the previous blog that we had our Kickoff Sales meeting for 2020 yesterday. Just a little more on the show that I'd like to share from this week. While standing at the end of our booth I was watching the reps from other companies in our section. So many peeps passed their booth and they did not say a word! No greeting, no communication, they waited for someone to speak to them first. Needless to say I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that many warm leads were lost because these reps were never taught the fine art of "hawking" while at a trade show. I was taught many years...

In Turbulent Times, Sales Professionals Give Of Their Hearts And Minds

Larry Levine ·
Can a giver of heart succeed in a sales world riddled with unscrupulous, fake, and disingenuous people? Is giving, the secret to long term sales success? Unfortunately, many within the sales focus on the almighty dollar. Ask a group of salespeople, why they got into sales and often you'll hear "for the money" . For the record, I'm all for making money. It allows us to feed our needs, wants and provides for our family. Making money isn’t evil, nor is being wealthy. The evil happens when you...

How well is your team keeping up with what they need? Your clients hold the keys to your success. They're no longer at the mercy of you, your team or your company.
