Re: WSCA contracts
Hey Art, Been selling WSCA for years and frankly only do it because I have to. it is a lot of work for extremely little pay. Even the service is not that great for the dealer end. So when I can I find a way around it.

Re: WSCA contracts
Its a nightmare for dealers. Ricoh can't get their act together on the paperwork. Its a loser. Also you don't get rewards points on machines when you use this program. Avoid it unless its the only way possible.

Re: Still looking for Software Solution! HELP!
Art, What is the native application the print stream is coming from? There are multiple solutions out there that can do this but some of it depends on the native application. Maybe more information could help. Also, what type of demo are they looking for? A log file output or just an automated system where they type or hit print and the command is sent automatically outputting duplex? There isn't much going on there just forcing duplex so I am curious what they are hoping to see. All the best

Re: Ricoh improves on a popular color printer
The RICOH SP C440DN prints documents in black and white at a cost of 1 cent per page and in color for 5 cents , well under typical costs of 7 cents per page and up. Note from Art: Interesting right, wonder if this includes parts, labor and maintenance

Re: OCR option MP C4503
I have not seen this yet. Have you tried to scanning to thumb drive to see if there is the same issue? I remember doing a scan demonstration for a client with blank page on (or at least I do) and the speed was incredible with the thumb drive. The next option I would try is scanning to ICE, because the OCR is done in the cloud, however not sure if ICE will do blank page. Art

Re: OCR option MP C4503
got this from my DSM, he's really good. Running this document through a GSNX or AutoStore or eCopy server will absolutely be faster than our built-in OCR option. The processors in MFPs are vastly slower than a PC.

Recent Meeting with an IT person
I had a recent meeting with one of my existing clients that has a lot of Brother printers. Slowly been taking the Brothers out with Ricoh A4's. We had a recent email exchange in reference to spreadsheets that I developed for cost per page on my A4's. That IT person was stating my CPC was wrong and then emailed me thier file. That IT person had also figured in the cost of the Ricoh A4 in his cost per page analysis. I couldn't argue with them but its a reminder that the total cost should...

Re: Curious about how everyone verfies Cost Per Page
If you can sit with accounts, or get invoices, best way to go. However, if they push back on that, I fall back to "industry standards" from a TCO site like FM audit or LDI. When they question my numbers, I then use that to ask for their actual invoices so we can verify.

Re: Curious about how everyone verfies Cost Per Page
Jus an FYI - on low volume devices, or on local connected devices, we go with a flat rate per month. Much easier on all, and several years worth of history doing this in many marketplaces shows we are making money on flat rate deals.

Do you know of another solution that would be better than the Machine OCR...

Ricoh Tier (ricotier) Color Page Cost?
I heard from an excellent source today that all of the new color (not sure ifd that means just the 03 series) mfp's from Ricoh support a tiered cost per page billing. I am assuming that this is for all of the Ricoh 03 series systems. The tiered billing would be in direct response to Kyocera and Xerox systems. I was also told that this was something that the direct channel would not use (yeah right), and @remote is going away. My source will be emailing me a support document in the next few...
