Muratec Dealers should also be in a good place. I just spoke to my rep who was in the meeting this afternoon and he said we should now have full access to everything Konica - production print, wide format, IT etc. Im pumped about this

Yes, Since Summer is winding down, I thought I'd get back in the groove with the glossary of terms for Color Label Presses. It was a few months ago when I went cold calling in South Jersey. I was on the lookout for copiers but also wanted to keep my eyes open for companies that could benefit from a label press or a corrugated press. If you're not familiar with a corrugated press that device will allow a user print graphics for use on card board boxes. I was able to find three companies that...

In the past I've called my self a hunter of wide format devices. I'm know moving on to call myself a hunter for color labels, which will lead me to placing net new label presses. Over the last month or so, I've noticed multiple rolls of color labels in Wawa's, Quick Chek (both of these are gas station/food markets here in New Jersey). In addition I also scoped multiple rolls of labels in McDonalds and Dunkin Doughnuts (or Dunkin as they have re-branded). See and ye shall find color labels...

Over the last few years I've blogged about the importance for dealers to diversify to other avenues of print. Especially if they want to stay in the "break and fix" model for servicing and selling devices that print. One of those opportunities is color label printing. The list of the types of color labels is enormous. Bumper stickers, political stickers, custom groceries, branding, safety, food labels, CBD, beer & wine, cannabis, the list goes on and on. Post COVID19 recovery will...

I wrote this back in 2011 and thought it would be a good repost for everyone. Enjoy! Yes sir, 31 years in the business and counting...over those 31 years I've seen and heard some strange things happen in the copier business. Here's some warning labels that I'd like to see on copiers. BTW, most of these threads came from Print4Pay Hotel Members forum. Enjoy! 1. Who wants to make GREAT commissions again? What dealer principal would be interested in creating another revenue stream where the orders of consumables never cease? What would you give up not to have competition with a product that can practically sell itself, once you've demonstrated the product? How did you answer those questions? Just like I did? My first answer is ME, my second response (if I was a dealer principal) is ME, and for the third question, I would give up my....... Recent...

Five Reasons Why Every Manufacturer Needs A Color Label Print Device

Color labels....., now you seem and now you don't. Over the years I'll admit that I never paid much attention to color labels, yet they are everywhere you look. Regulations and safety compliance in the work place has helped the color label market to explode in recent years. Most small to mid size manufacturing companies are outsourcing their color labels, which means a very long wait time when placing orders and most are ordering way more than they need to bring the cost per label price...

In a previous blog from this week titled How Many Labels Did We Count on the Ricoh MP3601SP? I wrote about all of the black & color labels that I found on one of our wide format devices in our showroom. In addition I just noticed that none of the pictures uploaded to the blog! Arrgghh! Thus, I will try to get those pictures uploaded this week. My point is that there are labels everywhere and we're just not paying attention them because we never thought that we could play in that market.

A few years ago I took at look at one of my wide format MFPs to see how many color labels were used in the manufacturing process. I believe the final count was 37 labels, they included model number, serial number, safety warnings, logo's, etc. In my opinion it was a heck of a lot of color labels for just one MFP. About a week ago I had a chat with a dealer owner and I was curious about what brands of copiers they sold. I then asked what about Managed IT, and found out that Managed IT is not...

Aight, it's an older Ricoh MP 3601SP, However, we still have one in the show room and I thought it would be cool to count how many color and black labels were adhered to the MP3601SP. I didn't not pop any of the covers, but I did open the roll feeder and the toner hopper. The method for my madness is to bring attention to labels, especially color labels.
