Selling (Copiers) in the Seventies with Fred Habbal

Art Post ·
One of the main reasons for this compilation of Blogs for Selling in the Seventies was to lend some insight as to what it was like to sell copiers in the seventies. As far as I know there is little to nothing on the web about our industry in the seventies. I wanted to make sure that we'll have this compilation of blogs to look back on in the future. We'll be posting one of these up for the next two months, so stay tuned for excellent content from these pro's! Here we go! I'd like to...

COVID19 Remote Working Day Two Hundred and Nineteen of Selling

Art Post ·
COVID19 Remote Working Day Two Hundred and Nineteen of Selling Copiers It's Wednesday and it's already been a long, long week for me. I was able to secure a net new at the end of last week for about $30K. Thus I came out of January at about $90K. A nice head start for the quarter. However there is always the good with the bad, and that bad part is that another net new for $35K has gone back in the weeds on me. Thus February is going to be somewhat of a challenge to get to my quota. In...

The Art of the Sales Follow-Up: 7 Ways to Keep the Conversation Going

Art Post ·
Most of your business’s prospective customers will not buy from you instantly. You cannot simply introduce someone to your products or services once and expect that they will go the rest of the way by themselves. Unfortunately, this simply isn’t true. The first point of contact is important, of course. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. But many salespeople and marketers make the mistake of crafting a perfect sales email, holding a great meeting, or running a fantastic...

The Week in Copiers Ten Years Ago The First Week of March 2011 I have great news today! Every day that passes now is a day closer we get to spring and the end of the pandemic. One year and so many curve balls have been thrown at our industry, it's truly been curve ball after curve ball with the lockdowns, the pandemic, and recently the snowstorms. After seeing so many curve balls in row these curve balls are no surprise anymore and we have adjusted like any hitter in baseball would. Dealers...

The Week in Copiers Ten Years Ago First Week of May 2011 Funny thing happened while building a new walk way at my house. There were a couple of spirea plants that I wanted to remove. Over the years got crappy looking since I there are in my front yard where there is full sun. There were three of them and today I dug out the last one. I had to get on my hands and knees to get some of the shooter roots. While I was prying the spirea out... there it was my wedding ring that I lost so many years...

Better Call Art "The Start of Something New" The pandemic is just about over here in the United States. Many of us are wondering what the post pandemic business environment will be like for sales. Just When I Thought All Was Coming Up Roses

Please excuse me if some of the words are not formed corrective. It was Wednesday early in the day, and Tuesday saw me secure an existing client for 22K. That was a great way to start the month and by 11AM an existing client added another 10k for a production RT device and a high end stacker. By mid day Wednesday every thing was clicking, it was another hour later when an existing client client added a 7k. Within another 25 minutes I received another 5k from a client about PM for an A4...
