Special than to fisher (p4p'er) for this. The purchase price is unreal, however I looked at the lease price and noted the price of $112.27 for 60 month. Quick leasing math tells me that the lease rate for 60 months is .0206. The .0206 is a very high rate. I believe that zero point rates are about .0190 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Using the .0190 and backing in the lease amount. Monthly lease rate divided by .0190 = amount funded The true lease amount is $5,909.47, which adds a...

Selling Copiers in the Seventies with Darrell Leven

It was good to see Darrell Leven at the recent BTA National Event in New York City a few weeks ago. During one of the breaks we had the chance to chop it up a bit about the imaging industry. Where we started and how we go to where we are today. During that chat is when I found out that Darrell started selling copiers in the late seventies. I asked if he would mind contributing to our Selling Copiers in the Seventies blog. Here's Darrell! What year did you start in the industry and what was...

I guess the BIG news of the week from ten years ago was ere 50 cuts that Ricoh performed that week. However, that was right after the IKON purchase and within four months (end of Japanese) there was to be major cuts with high level legacy employees. Seems to me that one of the covenants if the Ricoh purchase was that all high level Ikon peeps would replace those at Ricoh. AS Vince would say "that's my two cents".
