MX-C300W AND MX-C250F 4-IN-1 MULTIFUNCTION PRINTERS OFFER SUPERIOR SPEED AND FULL OFFICE-FRIENDLY FEATURES IN A SPACE-SAVING DESKTOP DESIGN

London, 22 August 2013 - Sharp today announces the launch of a new range of multifunction printers (MFPs) that combine the compact design associated with personal use desktop printers, with the features and functions that small businesses (SMEs) and smaller workgroups need.

The MX-C300W and MX-C250F are for businesses or individual departments that require a compact, efficient, multi-function and affordable quality MFP solution.

Tom Primett, Group Product Manager Copier/Printer Products, said: "We recognised that there has been a growing demand for more compact models from both smaller businesses and for smaller work groups within larger companies. So we've expanded our product line up to meet this need and complement our complete range of A3 and A4 products."

"Previously some compact lower costMFPs were networkable, but most were only suited for personal use; the MX-C300W and MX-C250F mean that this is no longer the case, with performance, ruggedness and a full set of office-friendly features now in a smaller space saving design."

The MX-C300W and MX-C250F come with 4-in-1 print, copy, scan and super G3 fax functionalities. The user friendly 5-line LCD panel, with programmable keys and a front access usb port, make scanning to USB memory and USB direct print, both easy and efficient.

Within the compact design, the standard paper supply can be expanded to 800 sheets without taking up any extra desk space. Security - essential in MFPs that are located in shared environments - is provided by the use of 5-digit personal access codes and by IPsec technology which encrypts data and prevents the MFP from communicating with unidentified users.

In addition, the MX-C300W boasts a wireless LAN functionality, meaning it can be connected to a wireless network. It also has a wireless access point which facilitates ad hoc printing or scanning from mobile devices which aren't connected to a company network.

Both machines meet the stringent Energy Star standards and come with other ‘green' features such as rapid warm-up times, low power consumption, a special Toner Save Mode and automatic switch-off.
