Ricoh Corporation Appoints Thomas Salierno President of Ricoh U.S.





West Caldwell, NJ, March 14, 2003 -- Katsumi Yoshida, Chairman and CEO of Ricoh Corporation announced today the appointment of Thomas Salierno Jr. as President of Ricoh U.S. effectively immediately. Mr. Salierno replaces Jim Ivy who has resigned from Ricoh Corporation.

Mr. Salierno will direct all sales, marketing, service, and support for Ricoh, Savin and Gestetner brands in the United States, as well as OEM sales and the strategic direction of the overall Ricoh U.S. organization. Ricoh U.S. was created in October 2002 by combining Ricoh Corporation's Ricoh and Savin Office Products Group units, Office Solutions Group, and four Ricoh Business Systems subsidiaries into a unified operating organization.

Before assuming his new position, Mr. Salierno served as Vice President of Finance and Operations for Ricoh U.S., and concurrently as President of Ricoh Business Systems. Prior to that, he was President and COO of Savin Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh Corporation.
