MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan 24, 2014 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, announced today that it has changed the name of the entity that supports the Company’s toner cartridge recycling program from Industrial Resource Technologies, Inc. (IRT) to Canon Environmental Technologies, Inc. (CETI).

Under this new name, the mission of the program remains the same. CETI will continue to carry out its strong commitment to the environment, including carrying out its mission to not only grow Canon’s product recycling efforts, but to foster a recycling-oriented society, reduce Canon’s environmental impact through greater management efficiency and embrace green technologies.

“The name change is a testament to the commitment we have to the environment,” said Toru Nishizawa, president and CEO of Canon Virginia, Inc. “Through CETI, we will continue to work closely with our community and foster future environmental business growth.”
