Wide Format Technology Update- The Canon TX Series printers and MFP Systems

Art Post ·
Just about a year ago, Canon USA released their new TX Series of Wide Format inkjet printers and MFP Systems. Canon has positioned the TX Series as a higher volume solution to capture opportunities on the production side of the aqueous inkjet technical documents market. There are two basic TX Series models available, the TX 3000 and TX 4000. The difference in these models is their supported print width, the 3000 being a 36” printer and the 4000 is a 44” printer. Re: Canon TX 3000 MFP Question?

@Kevin Foley Thank you! Hard to believe the max is 60 feet. I had to guess I would have guessed 150 feet. Do you know the average life of the print head and the MSRP?

Re: Canon TX 3000 MFP Question?

Kevin Foley ·
Yeah I don't know why the max is only 60 feet. I saw back in September that Canon entered the Guinness World Records with the longest photo print using one of their imageprograf's. The print reached about 360ft in length. If frequently used, the print heads should reliably hit 3 years, but I've got some printers 4 years old with the same head that came with the printer. Print heads run $450.00 retail.

Thanx for that bit of information, let me know if I can help you with any Ricoh wide format information. One more question please. Do you offer maintenance agreements (on-site) for these?

Re: Canon TX 3000 MFP Question?

Kevin Foley ·
Yeah, we usually offer a maintenance agreement excluding ink and paper.

Printheads last on average 2 years. They come with a one year warranty when they are replaced. Of course life depends on usage generally.

Why Copier Sales People Still Need to Demonstrate MFP's & Wide Format Devices

This week, I was stationed in Atlantic City for an Association event spanning three days. While being away from home for such a duration isn't my preference, the Association event serves as a robust platform for gathering leads for potential new prospects. From 7 AM to 7 PM on Thursday, with half-day commitments on Wednesday and Friday, the schedule can be quite taxing for anyone. Thankfully, I had backup representatives assisting me on Wednesday and Thursday. Prior to the event, I ensured...
