HELENA — Officials with the state and Xerox Corp. agreed Friday to take a step back and re-evaluate how best to complete the stalled $70 million redo of a claims-processing system for Medicaid. Xerox, which is building a new computerized system to process claims for the Medicaid program in Montana, agreed to prepare a report on where the company and the state differ on project expectations. State officials will analyze that report, due in January, and then decide on a new work plan, said...

Just a word from someone who follows press releases for the imaging industry. Many times I've read the press releases about the White House meeting with industry leaders and on most of those releases Xerox and Ursula Burns are mentioned in the same sentence. ACS was purchased by Xerox in September of 2009 and then a mere six months later the Affordable Health Care Act was passed. Until yesterday I had no clue that Xerox was involved with these healthcare web sites, although I'm not one for...

Re: International Copier Exchange has closed its doors

I might have to drive by their office in Dallas to see if this is accurate. The majority of our returns go to them which helps keep return costs down since they're only a few miles from us. If we have to start shipping out of state, that would be bad.

Toshiba is the Sistine Chapel of corporate catastrophes

Art Post ·
Six months into its financial crisis, Toshiba is shaping up as the Sistine Chapel of corporate catastrophes: you have to lie on your back to appreciate its scale, and once you get your eye in, the beauty is mesmerising. It is also a picture that, to committed contrarians and true believers in corporate governance reform, whispers “buy Japan”. At the very least, Toshiba stands to give the Tokyo stock market a new note from which everything else will in future be tuned.Toshiba’s mess is...

Toshiba Corp ( 6502.T ) has decided to replace its auditor after less than a year as the troubled electronics conglomerate struggles to win its approval on full-year financial statement, the Nikkei business daily reported. The log jam of containers waiting to be unloaded on the US West coast has caused an unexpected bidding war for empty containers to ship new goods from the Far East. I have attached a promo video from Toshiba for a new service management system. It shows what a copier warehouse can look like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qrGdepcEn8 At the :50 mark it shows a warehouse stocked with copiers stacked six high. Copiers are usually shipped in containers across the Pacific. The double whammy of...
