This Week in the Copier/Office Equipment Industry 10 Years Ago

Wow, this was a busy, busy week on the forums ten years ago, 8 of these posts are from current members!!   There's even a reference to color at .055 per page for a large Konica system, at that time the price was unheard of.  Hope you enjoy these old threads!!!!

I have one mailbox in the field and there hasn't been a single call. I'm curious who your competition is. If the prospect wants mailboxes, who besides Ricoh has them?

The trade-up bonus that Ricoh gives us on the 1055 & 1060 is $600 for stand alone and $900 for connected if you are replacing competitive machines.  The 1075 is $1,000 and $1,500 respectively for competative machines.  You get a $1,200 trade-up for...

The 2090 and 2105 now have "scan to file/scan to email" capability just like the 2035/2045 unless you install the Bate Stamping option in which case you lose the ability to scan.

FYI on the 2090/2105 Bate Stamping Solution. You cannot currently have both the Bate Stamping and Scanning available at the same time. They end up being mutually exclusive. Ricoh is trying to create a workaround or resolution.

You can set up Scan to Email no matter what, all you have to have is a network with TCP-IP and an SMTP mail server that you can reach from the inside. The Scan to Email has nothing to do with Mac or PC, it is all IP based.I hope that helps.

One of the potential "issues" with our solution is that the originals are not also stamped when the copies are. Some firms don't mind that, some do. The process is to have the User Stamp place the non-variable part of the Bate Stamp. That is why you...

It seems to me that a software solution would be next to worthless. It would force the firm to scan everything first.
