VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 2002-- IKON Office Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:IKN - News) today announced the launch of the Canon imageRUNNER Pro 150+, the most powerful addition to its production-level printing and publishing solutions portfolio to date. The iR Pro 150+ is the latest in a growing family of products that target commercial printers, service bureaus, data centers, corporate in-plants and other paper-intensive environments with high-speed document output capabilities supported by IKON value-added services.

"As the industry's largest supplier of Canon imageRUNNER 110s, IKON anticipates tremendous success with the new iR Pro 150+," said Cathy Lewis, Senior Vice President of Marketing, IKON Office Solutions. "We plan to leverage its increased speed and volume in combination with our Total Customer Protection Program and 2-hour average service response time to meet the needs of businesses with extremely tight print windows and productivity requirements."

The 150-ppm Canon imageRUNNER Pro 150+, with a duty cycle of 3-5 million pages/month, supports IKON's strategy to move further up market, by helping customers satisfy a broader range of high-volume applications under tighter deadlines. In its standard configuration, the system includes a 6-drawer paper supply which delivers a robust 8,000 page paper capacity and offers users the ability to choose from up to 6 different paper stocks within a single job. To further optimize productivity, the system offers a load-while-run capability which minimizes the need for operator intervention and workflow disruption. In addition, when configured with a roll feed system from one of IKON's enabler partners, the iR 150 can run an impressive 60,000 pages of non-stop throughput, which when combined with the standard paper supply, offers a true uninterrupted print capability of 67,000 pages or 134,000 impressions for two sided documents.

Along with impressive speed and volume specifications, the imageRUNNER Pro 150+ should appeal to production environments through a host of standard and optional features such as a 65 ppm scanner to capture and integrate hardcopy documents, a post-process inserter which automatically interposes mixed color and B&W jobs, as well as a signature booklet-maker, perfect binder and hole-puncher for creating professionally finished document sets. The Canon iR Pro 150+ will be supported by a number of IKON's best-in-class front-end systems -- among the largest array of enablers in the industry -- to meet customer needs ranging from variable data applications to make-ready workflow.

IKON intends to offer Canon imageRUNNER Pro 150+ in combination with IKON's Total Customer Protection Program, which provides 24/7 service coverage, 2-hour on-site technician response, round-the-clock second-level help desk support and more. And, to ensure iR Pro 150+ customers receive industry-leading service and support, IKON will continue to assign each customer dedicated technicians who will quickly gain an understanding of operations and peak periods.

"IKON has a unique ability to wrap the Canon imageRUNNER Pro 150+ with a range of front-end systems and exclusive services that address both general document output needs and customer-specific workflow," continued Ms. Lewis. "This best-in-class, value-add approach to solutions delivery allows IKON to function as a total business communications provider and partner for production-level environments."

The Canon imageRUNNER Pro 150+ will be available through IKON beginning November 22, 2002.
