A crackerjack day for Ricoh

On Thursday, 1 April, Ricoh’s inaugural Charity Bowls Day at the Paddington Bowling Club raised an impressive $95,000 for the Sunnyfield Association – an organisation committed to helping those with intellectual disabilities.

Celebrity guests and sporting greats joined Sydney business identities for a fun-filled afternoon on the sun-drenched Paddington green. Ten-times Australian decathlon champion, Peter Hatfield delighted in showing Aussie golfers Geraldine Brown and Gary Dawson and gold medallist water-polo player, Debbie Watson, a whole new ballgame.

Joy Smithers from Channel 7’s All Saints assisted on the day with all proceeds from the successful charity auction going to Sunnyfield’s training and employment facility, the GateWay II project.

Nigel Shepherd, Managing Director of Ricoh, says the Bowls Day concludes yet another successful charity drive for the company.

“In four years Ricoh has contributed over half a million dollars to phase one of Sunnyfield’s GateWay project. The success of this year’s Charity Bowls Day will be yet another valuable contribution to the Gateway II campaign.”
