Altec Sponsors the Microsoft Dynamics GPUG Regional Chapter Meeting in Detroit, Showcasing ...

Laguna Hills, CA

Altec Products, Inc., a leader in enterprise document management and workflow solutions, announces today their sponsorship and participation in the Regional GPUG Chapter Meeting at the Microsoft office in Southfield, MI. This educational network meeting will be held on March 20th for all Dynamics GP customers, prospects and partners. It is a prime opportunity for users to troubleshoot their most pressing Dynamics GP issues, learn from the experience of other local users, share knowledge and experience and make valuable connections with other GP users who share similar goals, priorities and objectives.

Altec, as a 14-year Microsoft ISV (Independent Software Vendor), is intimately connected to the Dynamics customer base providing paperless solutions. At this regional meeting, Altec will interface with the GPUG community and showcase their solution, doc-link, which integrates with Microsoft Dynamics GP to bring control to existing workflow and effectively eliminate the need to copy and file documents. This CfMD (Certified for Microsoft Dynamics) solution helps companies work leaner, faster and more effectively to automate business processes throughout the enterprise, within any department and any process.

Pete Wayne, Operations/IT Director at Oscar W. Larson and customer of doc-link for 8 years, stated, "We are excited to have Altec join us in Southfield to share the power of GP integrated with document management." He added, "For us in the petroleum industry, not having to file two million documents was a significant time saver. Having visibility through doc-link helped us identify bottlenecks, attack them and iron them out. There is no way we could take doc-link out of our organization."

Sales Director for Altec Kirk Topliffe will be attending the meeting to network, share success stories and discuss unique business challenges. Says Topliffe, "doc-link is a powerful tool that allows companies to go paperless and improve productivity. Not only will this solution enhance the customer's Dynamic ERP investment but it will automate key processes and streamline overall efficiencies."

Altec will also share new customer driven applications like mobility and the Smart Form Toolkit. Smart Forms are configurable electronic forms that can be used to create, index and retrieve documents to simplify processes - from the creation of check requests and expense reports to the simplification of credit card reconciliation and customer onboarding.

Kevin Dudevoir, Director of Sales at Altec stated, "We have supported the Dynamics GPUG community since conception and intend to dive deeper this year at a regional level. We hope to provide value with user education into how doc-link can increase their company efficiencies and reduce operating costs - compelling business drivers for all managing executives."
