Question: Xerox technicians

GIntel
I've heard that Xerox dealers can opt to use their own technicians or a Xerox technician to service devices in the field? Can anyone confirm this and provide more details on how it works?Read More...
Hey all, we've seen a large increase unit sales for Xerox AltaLink and VersaLink lines in Q2 (both vs. last year and the previous quarter). I'm trying to figure out why this growth is happening. I know that Xerox consistently offers promos and instant savings offers for the open channel models, but I'm wondering if they are offering dealers any incentives to move more units? Are there back-end promos or instant savings offers that have been running this year?Read More...

Xerox C60/C70 Series Question

GIntel
Hey Gang, Hope all is well. Its been a while. I'm seeing a really notable increase in Xerox C60/C70 Series unit sales in 2015 (vs. 2014) and I was wondering if you had any hunch as to why these products may have sold so well. My current thesis is these products saw increased sales because: They have an advantage replacing previous generation DocuColor 240/242 etc and C550/C560/C570 models that are in the installed base and coming off lease Xerox now makes these products available through...Read More...

According to a report from German computer scientist D. Kriesel, some Xerox WorkCentre copiers and scanners may alter numbers that appear in scanned documents. Having analyzed the output of two such devices, the Xerox WorkCentre 7535 and 7556, Kriesel found that “patches of the pixel data are randomly replaced in a very subtle and dangerous way”: in particular, some numbers appearing in a document may be replaced by other numbers when it is scanned. These substitutions can be particularly...Read More...
