Hello all! I have a bank customer with a C3535. Occasionally, when printinig to it, the job will print as garbage. From what their IT guy tells me, it's usually from .pdf files but happened with a word doc the other day. Re point 4 - careful on that one. Konica has made significant improvements to their print driver interfaces as well as to their walk-up interface. Over the years that I've been on this board, I often would sing the RPCS driver's praises as a competitive advantage. I can't do that any more. The only thing I don't like is that Konica limits the number of characters you can use to rename the file at the walk-up panel, but other than that I have no quibbles with their usability any more.

I am going to move away from FMV, due to the fact that where I work we have no sales manager, and not much help when the end of the term comes for clients leases. What I mean is, I have to calculate the remaining term of payments, especially if we can't get a pay off sheet from the customer of the leasing company. If you base it off the posted monthly duty cycles, it is 1/5th that of the LP226cn(Lanier)(SP400dn - Ricoh.) I believe the recommended volume for that printer is approx 6k per month. If you just divide then the new model C220 should be around 1,200 per month? I would think more like 2,000 pages. @ 1,200 pages/mo, in a normal working month, that is only about 50 pages per day.

Re: New Ricoh SP C220 Color Pinter!

According to the Ricoh cost fact sheet the targeted volume is between 9000 and 11000 per year. Retail CPC for toner and wastebottle is $0.17 The fuser and transfer unit is designed to last the life of the printer This is a disposable printer.

Hey Jim, Spun like a true sales manager! (of course, I respect that!) Seriously though, maybe I’m referring to a practice that doesn’t apply to Clune. Most leasing companies I’ve worked against (when trying to help a client that is unhappy with their current vendor/service) do not allow for early payoff and return of equipment. Therefore, the only option to the client for an early termination is a full buyout of the equipment (usually not a very attractive offer). When you speak of Clune

One of the things I always stressed with my salesmen was to sit down either Sunday night or early Monday morning and put together what they wanted to accomplish this week. Every evening to put together their next day. Never...never come into the office and not know what you're doing the minute your feet hit

Obviously, we have the choice whether to except them. You know as well as I do that print-4-pay accounts are tougher to finance. Why? Because they are higher risk. It has always been that way because relatively speaking, most small print shops have little invested and can close up shop in a heart beat

It may make sense for Ricoh PPBG whom is funded through Ricoh Japan to look at buying the High volume portion of the business. Considering that they have a contract in place with Kodak. I do know they just battled hard to keep a very highly regarded Solutions Engineer from going to Ricoh PPBG the day he was suppose to report in.

Back when carbon paper was the thing every office used, and it was getting less and less, it was the age of the copier/printer. I started a career with Lanier Worldwide, of course back then it was called Harris/3m, and it is known today as a subsidiary of Ricoh. The industry has not changed very much, in the sense that it stills sells the means to put dots on paper. Well, I guess they also do a few other things - after all, there has been a lot of creativity to keep them relevant. read the rest here

Just got this from a friend who is a Sales Manager..."Things ARE a bit different here… Although we are and will be Hughes-Calihan, it is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta. They will be closing the direct KM branches in AZ and NV, and folding them into us in April. We no longer offer Lanier… This is pretty big news. PCWin has the ability to specify the order the pages will print; Auto, Standard and Reverse. If you print to the upper exit, all 3 ways will give you the results you would think with Auto being the same as Forward. When you print to the lower exit, Auto prints in reverse order and does not work. If you hold your mouse pointer over the pull down in PCWin, the message reads "Auto means reverse if face up, else forward". This would be true if you were printing to a tray off the back of the

You can get it from the Savin site. Your looking for the 2525/3030 (E-3000) PPD for the MacOS X (Ricoh calls it an E-5000 but it’s the same). No additional hardware is needed. Just a word of warning, you would be fired on the spot if you sold equipment on the side while working for my company, regardless of who gets the maintenance agreement. Selling equipment for one company (you) while employed for another is a serious breech of contract and would not be tolerated with most companies. It really is no different than if you sold copiers for one company while employed for another.

If you have a signed contract and RBS quotes a lower price, you have grounds for a law suit. It's considered unfair business practices and tortuos interference. Your dealerships laywer should send a letter to Ricoh's legal council seeking compensation. The last thing they want is a lawsuit.

I just looked it up: Predatory pricing (also known as destroyer pricing) is the practice of a firm selling a product at very low price with the intent of driving competitors out of the market, or create a barrier to entry into the market for potential new competitors. If the other firms cannot sustain equal or lower prices without losing money, they go out of business. The predatory pricer then has fewer competitors or even a monopoly, allowing it to raise prices above what the market would

Do they really have 21" and/or 15" roll paper available ? I would have them put 22" inch (standard and available) paper in and do a user define print size, making the defaults "auto-rotate", "middle-center" . Also do "maintain ratio" and "cut-select" to ANSI C, 17 x 22. Explain the benefits of an extra 1" border and you'll be fine. Greg

"Rumors have been rampant the past few months of huge financial losses coming from the Direct Channel, along with Dealers up in arms about the Direct Channel selling boxes below Dealer Cost. Couple this with recent surveys sent to Dealer Salespeople asking about the downward sales of Segment One machines, and they just don't get it yet, A3 vs A4 machines"

I'm looking for help, I need to reach out to KM, Toshiba and HP principals.  I'm willing to offer free Premium/VIP memberships for the team along with some other stuff.  Please contact me for details apost@p4photel.com

He was clueless. They should have done this months ago. Ricoh is taking some big hits from Xerox/Global, KMBS & Sharp. They better wake up before it's too late!

Just the beginning...? It has now been a little over six months since the merger of Lanier and Ricoh into Ricoh Americas Corporation. During that time, there have been many changes in our organization and we have all experienced some of the good and some of the bad that change brings. The merger of two organizations having different cultures, systems and business methods is a difficult undertaking and what we have seen since April 1 certainly confirms that fact. I am aware of how hard all of

You can store prints by selecting "STORED PRINT" in the driver. The prints can be printed via the display on the printer or the WIM. You can change quantity but not finishing features.

And in other positive budget news, the district had forecast enrollment would fall slightly because of the slowing housing market. Instead, enrollment is stable at 17,595 students. The copier fund solution may seem like a painless idea, but district officials point out that schools depend heavily on copiers to reproduce instructional materials and tests. Bethel High

c811dn storage of documents????

Art Post (Guest) ·
While reading the brochure I noticed that you are able to store documents, up to 100 on the internal hd of the printer. A few questions, first how do you get them there and the second is how do you tell them to print. Along with telling them to print can we then tell it how many and what type of finsihing is needed.
